Cylinder S4314 on EZ220

Greetings

I have some questions reference the drum cylinder s-4314 used for RZ and EZ.

I tried to install it on a EZ220 but gives me the error message Wrong type D02-532 print cylinder.

Please be grateful for your help.

You need the RZ to EZ Drum Upgrade kit: S-7614

But once this is done it won't work in an RZ.

Check Riso's website for your closest dealer. It takes a couple hours to drain, change what's needed then re-ink.

EZ 220U

Hi,

I have a Riso EZ 220u. I am getting an error code on the display of p-96-569
I have install new ink and brandnew masters roll.
I was already getting the error when i first turn the machine on.
I was hoping that after installing the ink and roll that the error will go away.
I am not sure what to do here. Customer support is just not getting done right now.
Can anyone help.

The error is that the drum color or ink info is not inputed. Did you follow the drum installation instructions? If you don't turn off the Riso at the correct step during the install you can get this error.

You must reprogram the drum. Enter test mode, input 117 start, then 890 start, then 887 start. Additional settings sometimes needed on these upgrades, refer to a service manual for codes, codes needed to change protected mode settings.

If you are changing ink color, scan a 3/4 color sheet where the leading edge is white, then run a ream of the maximum size paper for your drum. 11x17, 8.5x11 et Cetra. The farther the color 'drift' backwards the more copies you need. Green to blue for example is easy as is yellow to green, but green to yellow requires more paper. This is actually cheaper and easier than disassembling and cleaning the drum.
