RC Drums not accepted - Wrong Drum

    Hello
I'm experiencing a problem on a RC 5600, very similar to:
Riso RA 4200 – RA Drum not accepted (E61)

I bought 4 really well kept RC drums, none of them is accepted, they all return a wrong drum exception, but still i get reactions when running test modes

by the way the RC drums don't have any dip switch (nor PCB) under the main drum cover
Should i change the routing of the coloured wires that go into the connector?

    Any help is really appreciated

    Sergio

i am not totally sure, this is going back years. but i do believe that there is one wire that different. i believe if you look at a drum that works you will find one cut and capped. but like i said we are looking at 12-15 years ago in my memory.

many thanks joelsa12, you saved my day!
It completely worked, was the orange wire that was bridged
Cut it and it worked for every drum
        thanks a lot!!

Hi, thanks a lot to all you guys. I also have a similar problem with a RISO RC4050 drum. customer claims it has been working well until one day it stopped and displayed error code E061. I pulled it out of the machine & did some cleaning on it, put it back but the error code persists.
Manual for RA4200 says WRONG DRUM SIZE. How come, since its same drum they have been using all along? Can these drums be repaired? I confess Iam a copier guy. Any help appreciated.

Has there been any storms or power problems recently? Those old Risographs can be pretty finicky about wall voltage problems. If you can verify that those drums really did work, you might try a memory clear - hold down the "RESET" key on the control panel while turning the machine on, and hold it down until the motor sounds stop. That's the equivalent to doing a "code 90" on a GR, it works for the RAs, and I hope it works on the RCs, too (I don't remember for sure, I was pretty young back then).
(Memory resets are common knowledge among our techs, so sorry for the old news if you've already tried that.)
