I am trained on riso and duplo, Both have good and bad. Riso are more adjustable, Much more complex machines. The riso machines stand up better in a print shop than duplo in my experience, Duplo may be better in schools, due to their more simple design.

Riso has solid machines across the board. Only seen Ricohs and Duplos when trading them in for Riso's and have always been glad I didn't have to work on those machines.
If you notice almost all the "problems" in the Duplicator Forum seem to be Riso's, it tells me that there are many more of them out there and people try and keep 18 year old GR's alive forever because they love them.
