is it possible that the position of the p disc (used for the start-time of first paper feed, correct?) is wrong?
and any ideas how to fix this? thanks in advance. detail picture here

Yes!! the p-disk is out of time. You can not just adjust the p-disk though unless you know the gear and cam pulley are in time. There is an alignment hole below the sensor for the p-disk, it should align with the hole in the cam pulley. If not then your belt has jumpped teeth and you will need a tech or a tech manual to get that into time. IF they do align, then you can loosen the set screw on the p-disk and rotate it so the notch in the disk is just below the sensor. Still get yourself a tech manual.
    Good Luck.

Jermyth, thank you very much for your hints, you saved our day! The belt has indeed jumped teeth. Instead of calling a tech, we consulted the tech manuals and adjusted the main and cam pulleys according to the tech manual by loosing the paper feed clutch unit and turning the cam pulley manually to the exact position (page I-38 of the tech manual).
      Now everything works fine.

Nicely done- not an easy feat, although if you have the manual and mechanical skills you can achieve much! Congrats!!
