    Riso Maintenance

    I've been browsing the Riso CR1610 manual, but there's no indication of what parts should be changed at maintenance time nor the life expectancy of each part.

    What parts should I replace at PM on this machine?

      When it won't feed --->replace FT, sep pad, clutch

      When the full image doesn't print---> replace impression roller

      Keep rollers and sensors clean. Otherwise wait til it breaks, when it goes over a million anything can break. I never had a lot of luck with TR/CR that went over a million, the little things start to nickle and dime you. GR1700, RN22xx, RZ220 is the size where a real machine starts. Not a table top.

          Thanks for your reply. So I'll assume this machine doesn't have a fixed PM cycle, right?

          So what would you recommend to replace on a machine which was kept stopped for the last two years? I need to give the customer a quote before doing the job...

              If the machine has been sitting unused for 2 years the drum shell and screen probably needs a good cleaning with a solvent. The grease in the master making area which provides tension on the loading plate may be gummed up. Disposal area could probably use a wipe down, impression roller, load and write rollers, blow out all the dust. Disposal belts probably will need addressing if they have sat that long (broken or stretched over time-12 of them bad boys). Probably better just account for a few hours of cleaning plus parts.

              Or sell them an EZ 220 that they will love and can run for the next 10 years.
