[Error Code] RN 2150 EP, master cutter unit error code A17-209

Hi there Riso-pros,
I have a problem with my risograph RN2150EP which I bought from a person who literally used it to make only 9 prints (!), so its pretty new considering the age of the model.
Up until a few days ago it was working perfectly. Then, as I was making a new master, the first test print came out and then I got an error message saying "A17-209 Rewind Master Roll and Close Master Making Unit". I did as the message said, but the error persists...

I've managed to get my hands on the technical manual for this model which I've gone through completely searching for possible solutions, so far I suspect that there is an issue with the "Cutter home position switch", if I understand correctly, this means machine thinks the cutter position is not in the default 'Home' position. I've read a thread on another forum (about another model... riso RZ200EP WITH ERRO CODE A17-209 HOW CAN I CLEAR THIS? - FixYa) which makes me think the solution is simple, something along the lines of:

"take out the master roll, look under the green plate you will see a white plasic knob,
at the moment it is to the back of the machine that is the cutter unit,
very carefully move it to the front of the machine until it wont move anymore.
dont forget to switch off the machine, refit the master roll the problem should be resolved"

I really need to get this girl running again as soon as possible, so I'd be infinitely appreciative of anyone who could provide a clue to a solution!!

A 17 - cutter fault

To me it seems to have remained a band matrix beneath the green guide.
If the matrix is insiresce too far it cuts a small portion to be removed otherwise it always error.

In test mode tries to do the tests of the sensors of the master, I think 200 to 300.

Hey Alfasud, thanks for the suggestion.
I eventually had to have the only riso technician in Torino (where I live) come and fix my machine...
he had to disassemble the cutter unit, remove it and manually put the gear back in place.
now it works!
