    GR3770 Lines on Drum

    Hey There,

Recently acquired a GR3770 and SC7700 and having a small problem with a faint line in the center of my prints with the black drum.
After cleaning the thermal head, which solved some of my problems and I came to realize the problem was in the drum.. there is a small crack on the black pad in the center of the drum under the master.

Has anyone else encountered this? or know how to fix it?

The line is minimal but very annoying.. see images below.

    Many thanks in advance.
    Brian

Looks like the pick finger is rubbing on the drum, it's a simple adjustment to move it away and not touch.

      **edit**
If NOT fix the finger will tear the screen.
Color is not 4 times harder... it's 65,000 times harder. They call it "TECH MODE" for a reason. I have manual's and firmware for ya, course... you are going to have to earn it.

i would truely agree with RROGERS,it could definately be the paper separating figure under the drum tearing the master on the drum, check for the lever on the front of the machine that is pushed by the drum when you push it in, that might be bent, it determines the distance of the fingure from the drum
failure is not an option !

If you are going to adjust the picker finger, make sure to rotate the drum so that the clamp has gone by and the blank leading edge of the master sticking out of the clamp is over the finger. The spec is one millimeter between the drum and the picker finger, but as the drum is not perfectly round you may need to adjust it plus or minus a little.
