riso rp-3105ep error code A17-999

Any help will be greatly recieved.

the error code says its a master jam, their is nothing jammed.

absolutely nothing will work, key pad, the drum wont release.

I made a new master, the machine printed 1 proof off as normal, then said their was the error code
any ideas please ?

how do i lift the scanner head up higher, coz if i bang my head on it 1 more time, it might be hammer time

The code is a cutter error. There is no 999 error point for this code, its either a 221, error occurred durning recovery movement, or 209 cutter home position was off at start of master making. Try turning off the riso, hold the reset button down while turning on the riso. If that doesnt help then you may ned a new cutter unit. Good luck.

already got the manual, and ive read it, but it tells me nowt

thanks buddy, ive tried this and still nothing, anymore advice ?
or is there anyone near me in the UK, south yorks / north notts, Sheffield region that can help ??

Well since you got a manual try going into test mode, hold print position left & right keys down while turning on machine, and try running test mode 080: force clear jam, then 250: cutter motor cycle. If you can't hear the cutter then you got get a new cutter. Oh, and before doing this remove the master roll from the machine so you don't get pieces of master in the cutter, which might be what is causing your error too.
