Paper jams under print cylinder. Pressure solenoid does not activate. When tested in service mode it works properly. Checked timing cam; it is ok. Any suggestions?

Re: Paoer jam RZ220
If you haven't done this already, you might try giving the sensors under the timing roller a good blast of air to clean off the accumulated paper dust. Make sure you have a clear escape route and a good supply of dusting cloths, as if this is a high mileage machine it could result in a rather large cloud of dust. -
Re: Paoer jam RZ220
I cleaned sensor and tested it. It is working fine. When looking at the machine works for some reason the solenoid does not activate and release pressue roller; if I manually releases the pressure roller and run prints it can be seen that the solenoid does activate. It looks as if the pressure roller lever is preventing the solenoid from activating.Comment

Re: Paoer jam RZ220
Almost sounds like the solenoid return spring is broken, but that should be pretty easy to see, so that's probably not the case. I guess check the solenoid wiring with a meter for continuity while moving the wiring around in case one of the wires is broken, that used to be a problem that would show up.
Sorry I couldn't help you out more.Comment

Re: Paoer jam RZ220
Replace the pressure solenoid arm , check the solenoid spring, upgrade firmware also. I have seen this many times, this will fix that. The solenoid arm will wear causing it not to lock. I forgot, if your solenoid doesn't work replace it first, but the arm has been the cause most often.Comment

Re: Paoer jam RZ220
Update guys. I was able to figure out the cause of the paper jam problem. Pressure lever assy has a hard rubber used as a damper to absorb the action of the pressure lever cam. Replacing the worn rubber solved problem. How can i acquired a Pressure lever Assy? A website to purchase Riso parts would be greatly appreciated.Comment
