    GR3770 Paper Feeding Problem

My GR 3770 won't feed paper, the main belt spins as if to print but the paper clutch and feed rollers do not spin. I recently had to remove the mylar (?) strip that guides the paper between the feed rollers and the guide rollers because it had gotten flipped inside out and was preventing paper feeding. Since replacing that strip the clutch seems not to be working at all.

Not sure if it is relevant but test modes 23 and 24 (paper feed clutch sensor and paper det. sensor) 40 - 44 (paper feed safety, paper feed cassette SW1, 2, 3, 4) all indicate no detection, however occasionally the Riso will do a print if I hit Test Print immediately after turning the Riso on.

I reread your post, and what was below was probably not helpful, and is gone now. Sounds more like the mylar strip you replaced is interfering with the paper buckle sensor in some manner. Check to make sure the sensors in the guide roller area are unobstructed.
Have you tried resetting the machine's operating memory? That takes care of weird problems sometimes. With the machine off, hold down the "Reset" key, turn the machine on, and continue holding down the "Reset" key until the display comes to ready.
