Hello all.
Could someone please help me with the full procedure to change a colour drum[red] to black,I understand a code is needed, customer has broken the clamper and is looking for the cheapest option. Thanks in advance.

If you are talking the clamp plate on the top of the drum, 4 screws and just swap the two units. That would be the easiest.

Otherwise, use 11x17 paper and make a skyshot master with a white piece of paper covering the first 2 inches of lead edge on the glass. Run ink drainage TM 888.
When enough is drained for your liking;
Shut off
Insert black ink
Start up TM and press reset when you get a code
TM 117 start
Stop
TM 890 start
Stop
Turn off machine
Start up TM 887 to re-ink.

They had a problem with clamp plates getting stuck in disposal area. Firmware fixed the, the latest is for an RZ 390 is 2.17

Thanks 20gaugeO/U,the fault arose because customer tried some self maintenance on their black drum and as ricoh dealers we don,t have access to riso parts or manuals but are trying to help them.
