    rz 390 print problem

when print a original has a half inch square small black image ,the printout became grey ,not solid black
    1. we clean the screen and clean squeeze roller surface clean ,no ink ,then put it back , we did not do the test code 887
a few days after we try to make the master, then no ink come out from inside the screen ,
    2. now we do the test mode 881 884 , 884 884 then 887, we check again the squeeze roller surface no ink
add density or speed adjust , no good , ink still not come out
    --------------------
shall i adjust the squeegee-gap adjustment plate
    or squeegee pressure balance adjustment
    or check squeegee gear broken
is this possible the ink , after clean , not running 887 test code , cold temperature ink problem
any suggestions or advice are welcome

That's the weirdest thing. If I understand correctly, except for mode 887, none of those other service modes have a lot to do with that machine's problems.
You might want to check the optics first just in case there is excess dust.
Also, if you clean the drum out that well, you probably need to follow some of the installation instructions for an inkless drum. After running mode 887, you need to run a bunch of paper through the machine. Riso recommends that you run an entire ream through the machine. A confidential master on the drum will prevent that paper from getting wasted, and will probably work OK.
    Hope that helps.

If you opened up the drum and cleaned out the squeege unit, then you need to run the installation process, 117, 890, TURN OFF THEN BACK ON, then 887.
Also, does no ink mean no ink on drum screen, or on prints?
Your original problem of light image may have been from scanning settings not a drum issue. Or just from a dry drum, that needs a few 100 sheets run through it.
      Good luck.
