FR/GR colour drum only 50% inked on GR3770

Hi everyone,


I recently bought a Riso FR/GR colour drum from USA for my GR3770 (italian firmware).
After changing the dip switch configuration to adapt it to A3 size, and a complete automatic idling cycle, I tried to print something.


Unfortunately it seems that the screen is only 50% inked (the side of the paper receiving tray) and not on the other side.
The master is perfectly cut but under the drum, it's not doing a 360 degree around the screen like other drums.


Maybe there's an incorrect format setting on the cylinder or in the GR3770 settings.
Perhaps I didn't explain myself properly,
please take a look to the attached images about the drum and the DIP switch configuration.

It is possible that the drum you purchased is only for 8 1/2 x 11 paper, the last section of the drum does not have any screen material.

It's exactly like you said.

I can convert it only in to DIN A4 standard.

Huh, I didn't think those drums were wide enough to fit in a GR3770. Shows what I know. Good information, thanks.

Iowatech, your mostly correct. A drum from a 1700 or 1750 wont fit in a 3770, but riso made 8.5x11 & 8.5x14 drums for the 3770 and other GR units. And they still make smaller drums for the larger units, go figure why cause it dont make a lot of sense to me.
