Problems with spot colour on Riso MZ770

When we use to send a two colour job to our Riso MZ770 the second colour would print out brightly and only in that colour.

Now for some reason, when we send a two colour job the second colour (let's say red) has a grey background, almost as if it is trying to print CMYK.

Had Riso engineers down who have not managed to sort the problem out and suggest I create the job twice, once for each colour, now that's gonna be easy!!

Thank you in advance for any pointers in the right direction.

PS. This problem is exactly the same from both Windows and Mac PC's

Had customer with simular problem and was caused by the file format. The riso driver saw the art as screened not solid. When remade a different way it worked.
