I'm having issues with an unresponsive touch screen on an RZ990U risograph in my print shop. The display boots to the intial mastermake/print select screen but its on-screen buttons won't respond to touch commands. However, I can advance to the mastermaking/printing screens by pressing the mechanical green start button on the right panel.
The touch screen has worked fine since I bought the riso used last November. I've only had a few instances of sticky LCD buttons that initially won't respond to touch. However, the LCD hasn't been responding to ANY touch functions for the past two days.
Anyone else had problems with touch screen sensitivity? Is there a way to recalibrate the touch screen, perhaps from test mode? I'm looking at the service manual under "Protected Area Test Mode" and it appears there's a function for "LCD Base Point Compensation." I'm wondering if this is used to recalibrate the screen.
I'd like to do everything I can before looking into replacement parts.
Thanks!
