[Error Code] Check Paper Feed Area Error Code

Hi!

We recently bought a RISO GR3750. After turning the machine on the error code "check paper feed area" comes up and will not go away.

After cleaning, checking for any obvious faults (broken wires etc) and speaking to a Riso engineer on the phone it sounds like its a problem with a jammed safety switch or the paper feed tray has dropped too low.

However were not sure how to rectify this matter.

Any advice or suggestions on how to fix it would be amazing!

We have a manual, but it doesn't go into specific detail about this particular error message.

I know its hard to offer advice without seeing the machine but any insight into this issue would be wonderful.

Have you tried searching this thread for answers? There is loads of extremely useful information here.
Also, as far as manuals go, the user manual would probably be far more useful than the service manual for this.

We have the user manual, and it recognises the error message but merely says "make sure paper feed area is clear", which on the surface it seems to be!

We have the user manual, and it recognises the error message but merely says "make sure paper feed area is clear", which on the surface it seems to be!

I'm referring to this thread right here that you are posting to. There is all sorts of useful information that will help you out with this problem. You should search it.
Oh, cool, you do have the user manual. So is the paper feed area actually clear? Can you provide pictures?
