Riso HC5500, printing on dark paper.

Hello.
I have a problem with a file, to print.
When I put white paper goes well, but if I put paper (dark red) does not come out focused, as if he did not recognize the size, is very rare. The settings are the same with white paper and color, if white and color intersperse white goes well and the other not.
I guess because the machine will not make good reading when dark, and I wonder if there is any way to fix it.

turn off ccd for colour paper and paper detection
