    [Misc] Problem with image moving

When printing with my Riso MZ770 one of the images moves.
When running a job with black and blue, the blue goes out of line after a few hundred copies.
The black remains square on the page but, the blue moves off square.
    Can anyone help?
    Thank you

Try swapping the drums and see what happens, and let us know, please.

Many thanks for your reply and willingness to help.
Do you mean swapping the black and blue drums around or, swapping the blue for another colour?

I have since changed the blue drum to a red - the same thing is happening.
Black remains square on the page but, after a hundred or so copies the red goes off square.
Any help you can offer will be much appreciated.
          Thank you

Actually, that does help. It kind of sounds like the master is getting pulled out of the master clamp. Try loading a new master on the red drum, then draw a line on the master where it goes underneath the clamp, or maybe put a piece of tape on the master as close to the clamp as you can. Then run the machine until the image is noticeably off square. See if there is some extra space between the line/tape and the master clamp about the same distance that the red image is off square. If there is, the master is moving. If that is the case, you might try cleaning the inside of the master clamps on the red and blue drums. While it is unusual that the clamps on two different drums would be equally as dirty at the same time, cleaning them isn't that hard and shouldn't take a lot of time.
Other than that, it would be best to get a tech to look at the machine. There are some very sharp edges and very strong springs that need to be dealt with then, as well as screws that can be easily dropped into the depths of the machine, never to be found again.

It is 1.30am here - i am in Northern ireland.
I will be trying what you suggest first thing in the morning - I want to take the time and check your idea out properly.
As you may have gathered, it is the second drum side that is giving the trouble. I always keep black in first drum side - it is OK.
What is most likely to cause the master to be pulled?
I will let you know how I get on.
Thank you again for all your help - much appreciated.

The most likely thing for that I've seen (if you buy your master material from Riso) is that there is too much pressure between the drum and the pressure roller (the roller underneath the drum).

Once again, thank you for your help.
I had an engineer here and he adjusted the roller pressure using a code.
Would you have any idea where I could get this code - apparently the older machines
                  were adjusted with a screwdriver.
I may need a new roller - if that turns out to be correct, I would need to set the pressure right.
                  Thank you.

The code is in the manual, if you want to do this yourself you might check out the "Just Manuals" post from earlier. Their manuals are good and are reasonably priced from what I've seen.
If you do choose to do this yourself though, please be patient and careful.
