    Riso RP 3700 Drum will insert but not latch

    Hi All,
    I have a drum that will insert but not latch. If I push slightly on it I'm prompted to close the front cover but as soon as I stop applying pressure it goes back to insert color drum. Any thoughts? thanks a bunch!

      Are you sure the machine isn't calling for color ink? I'm fairly certain that the machine will never call specifically for a color drum. Unless maybe you are using the machine as a printer.
      That being said, if that drum has ever worked in your machine before, make sure that the back of the drum is in good shape - compare it to your other drums to be sure. The coupling on the drum to the machine might be damaged, and on some machines there is a metal tab on the back of the drums that tell the machine the drum is inserted correctly that can get bent (I'm not sure that the RP line has that, and I don't have my manuals handy right now, sorry).
