I'm new to the forum and have a Duplo DP-S550 that starts throwing excess in on the side of pages after approximately 750 copies. Anyone with suggestions as to the cause and solution?
If you'll take this with a grain of salt (I only work on Riso duplicators), I'll try a general duplicator suggestion you might check out.
It kind of sounds like the paper you are printing on is wearing through the master that is on the drum. When the excess ink starts showing up, pull the drum out and take a look, you should be able to see a visible outline of the paper you are printing on. You should be able to see where the ink is leaking through as well then.
This only happens on the Riso equipment that I've seen when feeding heavier stock through the machine, most usually with envelopes. The easiest solution I've found for that is to run fifty or so prints and then use some sort of tape to cover the corners of the outline of the envelopes or heavier stock in the master.
Hope that helps. Or someone who actually knows Duplo equipment shows up soon.
