    Consumable Print Yield Question

    Hello,

Is there a standard yield for Riso Masters and Inks?

I've seen many different numbers around just wondering if there was a standard amount.

As far as inks I've seen them rated around 10,000 - 20,000 pages.

Masters I havent seen any information really - only one source stating about 500-1000 Masters.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

    Best,

    Paul

Ink yield depends on coverage on your prints. If you're printing plain text or lots images & graphics... I've gotten as few as a couple thousand prints to several thousand out of a tube of ink.

In terms of masters, this also depends on the paper you print on. Heavy cardstocks and envelopes will deteriorate stencils quicker than printing on 20# bond paper. 500-1000 prints from a master sounds right to me, more than that you will find the master can start to stretch or skew.
