    RZ220ui Trouble J08 Jam code

    We are in hopes someone could offer some help. We just acquired a RZ220ui Riso .. we keep getting this J08 code error. We have never run the RZ as we use a GR riso ... Can anyone offer some help with this code and how to keep the machine from throwing it. Only thing I see right now is the machine has been sitting for a while .. drum screen is sort of dry of ink and master does not seem to cling to it ... could this be the cause? if so what do we need to remedy it? Thank you all in advance. ~ David

      J codes are paper jam codes. Look for a jam, pull out drum and hit the reset key. If that don't clear it, try turning off, hold the reset key while powering on and continue holding for 2-5 seconds. And see about getting a manual. See Paul with Justmanuals.com.

          Could be any of the regular stuff. Feed tires, need new style FT cores, sep pad, new style 1-way guide roller gear, feed clutch, dust on the paper in sensor.... check these things out while giving the machine a good cleaning since it hasn't been used in a while.
