    Riso RP 3700

I have just purchased an old Riso rp 3700 as part of a small printing business. I am having issues with the ink not covering all areas. It seems to be a 2 inch streak about 4 inches down the paper. It is only in that area. Is there anything I can do to get this fixed so that I can have satisfactory printing?
Thank you in advance for any assistance

A picture of the print defect and the print surface of the drum when the machine is making that print defect would be very helpful in determining the correct advice to give you.
We're kind of a visual bunch here, and we can't see your machine or what it is doing. Pictures are an easy way to get around that difficulty.

Is it a sharply defined streak? You may have a scrap of master material stuck to the drum screen that is not being removed during each master replacement. You can peel off the existing master and examine the screen beneath.

Is that all the way down the page in the feeding direction? If so I'd look at the impression roller. It may have ink buildup or warped where there is no pressure on the drum to transfer image. To clean, GENTLY scrape the roller with metal ruler.I don't recommend any chemicals on the roller. Can cause long term problems.
              Good luck.

It starts about 3 inches down from the top and goes to about 5 inches from the top.

A picture of the print surface of the drum while the machine is producing prints with that defect would be useful. Especially if you can find the portion of the master that is producing the defect and take a picture of that.

Possible dent on drum. or roller as said under drum has build up of ink on it.

Yes, could be a dent- could also be that the drum screen just needs cleaning, it may be clogged with gummed-up ink.
