I'm having issues with my paper size detection sensor intermittently not sensing on my rp3700. leading the machine to register ledger sheets as letter. Is there anything that could be causing this beyond the sensor going bad? could a wire harness or connection in the machine be loose somewhere? Thanks in advance, I finally found this machine after looking for ages, and combing through the posts on this site has really helped get me up to speed on remedying the neglect imparted from the previous owners.

If you haven't shot the sensor with a can of air start there first. Otherwise it could have a loose connector or could be bad. Your other option would be to take the machine off auto detect and you have to tell it every time you change paper size. -

thanks for the ideas. I tried shooting it with some air and it still seems to be cutting in and out, have it on manual detect for now...Comment
