    SKY BLUE/CORNFLOWER INK?

Hello - just an inquiry about ink colours

I stumbled upon this ebay page, and there are alot of colours I have never seen before by this seller-

Riso Risograph SKY BLUE 36K Type RP Color Drum RP3700 RP3505 RP3500 RP3700UI | eBay

In particular he is selling a 'SKY BLUE' drum - which is great as I have been after blue closer to CYAN than the plain old BLUE that I have at the moment.

    TWO QUESTIONS

I can't find a supplier for the SKY BLUE ink anywhere - does anyone know of one?

If I do get hold of SKY BLUE ink, could I put it in my regular BLUE drum when its next out of ink (and just run out the blue dregs). Will that work?

You can hope to find it from someone selling surplus or second hand (in which case make sure to confirm the age of the ink, as Riso ink is expired after 2 or 3 years.) Besides that, your best bet is to contact your local Riso dealer who can order it through the main U.S. Riso distributor. They should be able to tell you if there is any stock of it available in North America... If not, then you would have to make a minimum order of 10 tubes which the distributor orders directly from Japan.

You can put the tube into your reg. blue drum, it will just take some time and maybe 1/3-1/2 tube to transition the drum from blue to sky/cornflower blue completely.
