    Riso MZ990 vs. MZ1090

I am considering getting a used Riso two color digital duplicator. Is an MZ1090 enough better or different from an MZ990 that I should forgo the chance to buy an MZ990 if one becomes available and wait for an MZ1090 to become available?

    Thanks.

Very much both identical machines. Only exception is the drums are slightly different and not compatible. The 990 drum can be converted to the 1090 with a special kit, S-5258, via RISO dealer only.
    Good luck.

      Good luck.
      Thanks for the info.

Also, do you know what the site requirements are (temperature, air quality, vibration, etc.)

And two more questions: how many pages would a machine need to run before one would become concerned about buying a particular unit. For example, would one or two million pages be cause for concern? Also, what is a reasonable price to pay for a used MZ990 or MZ1090 is supposedly good condition?

        Re: Riso MZ990 vs. MZ1090

We are the largest supplier of USED RISO drums in the U.S. with over 400 in stock.

We currently have 3 USED Riso MZ1090's (all with under 35K total prints) in stock and ready to ship.

We have 14 BLACK and COLOR drums and many (8) NEW in the BOX drums for the MZ0190.

Currently, we are out of stock of the MZ990, but we have 6 Riso MZ790's coming in soon.

Both the MZ990 and the MZ1090 are TRUE 600x600 dpi machines but the MZ990 is RARE and will be hard
to find parts for because they came out several years after the MZ790 and ONLY 2 years before the MZ1090.

Let us know if we can help.
