    Thermal head for Risograph Gr1700

    I have a Risograph Gr 1700 printer with white lines going through the image, Ive cleaned the thermal head and scanner with alcohol as well as scraped and cleaned the impression roller with no success. Does anyone on here either know of other methods to restore a thermal head or have any leads to new parts? Any info is appreciated!

    Sounds like you've done all that you can short of replacing the thermal head.
    New thermal heads for the GR line haven't been available from Riso for some time, so you will need to take your chances with someone selling used parts if you want to fix this.
    While I'm not sure how people selling used parts determine the price of parts, be aware that the thermal head was pretty much the most expensive part I've ever ordered from Riso.
    Because of that, if you do find a used thermal head you intend to purchase, it would be best if you get a service manual too, as there is an adjustment that at least needs to be checked.
