Master Write-Start Position & Length Riso RZ 3XX

    Hello,

I had an issue with my pressure roller and had the tech repair it but also adjust the timing.

It seems that whoever owned the machine or whoever serviced it before had set it funny to have the write-start set at -15 and the write-length and a number I can't find now.

Either way my current write-position is way too close to the edge (approx 56mm opposed to the recommended 63) and my length is 22mm away from the edge (its 2.2cm shorter than it used to be)

I tried adjusting this but each time I enter codes 541 (write-start) and 542 (length adjustment) no matter what values I put in nothing changes. I double check to see if the new values are still there before I make a new master (either from a test-code, the glass, or from a computer) its the same result.

    Any advice?

I can post photos if that helps but I've been printing on run-up proofs and using yellow so it's difficult to see - I can swap to another color if that's easier.

    Appreciate your time,

    PJ

Re: Master Write-Start Position & Length Riso RZ 3XX

I suggest starting with the master making adjustments procedure in the RZ3xx manual, pg 13-37.Start with master clamp range, then write start position, then master cut length, master making image, and master making length. Another suggestion, reset all master TM adjustments back to factory defaults and see that you got and adjust from there.

    Good luck.
