[Jamming] Riso rz 310ui not reconizing drum after jam.

My riso RZ 310UI will not recognize when drum is inserted. Machine 'beeps' but does not lock drum in place.

This happened after masters were not disposing properly and were wrapping around disposal bits, causing machine to jam.

Masters were cleaned out, but machine was unresponsive, even after reset. (Would make a whirling sound like it was inking but not print).

Could not eject drum or thermal units. (lock/unlock buttons pressed to no effect)

I had read that similar symptoms could be caused by drum not being in correct position.

Finally able to get drum out, but now putting the drum back in the machine, it's not recognized. Doesn't lock in. No error code.

Make sure the master making unit is properly installed. Next the machine maybe out of time not allowing the drum to engage fully. See if the cam inside the machine matches the cam on the back of the drum.
    Good luck

Thank you! The issue was that drum could not sit at home position. Removed back and reset position of drive cam. Able to properly insert drum again.
