[Electrical] Couple of problems with a Riso MZ770

Hi guys, wondering if anyone can help, I have a couple of problems with my MZ770 and hoping someone can shed some light on it.

    Firstly....
The machine will just stop in the middle of printing, all the power goes off, and I have to turn it off for 10 minutes and then it will print again. Started it would only happen once in a blue moon, over time it is now down to about 20 minutes running before it stops. It's as if it is overeating and has to cool down, however, nothing feels hot.

    Secondly........
The screen is not responsive to touch. Had the problem for a while and then it suddenly put itself right and was fine. Now it is at it again, it means I cannot use my compatible ink as I cannot skip through the warnings of no ink information available.

    Thank you in anticipation.
    Regards
    Peter

For the first problem, you should probably monitor the power being supplied by the outlet the machine is plugged into. I'd guess there is something else on that circuit that is drawing enough current that the Riso can't get enough power for the ten minutes you have to wait.
The second problem could be related to the first one, problems with the power supplied by the outlet the machine is plugged into can cause bad data in the machine's working memory. See if resetting the machine will help with that.

Perform screen recalibration in test mode to solve your touch screen issue. Remove the front cover & observe your paper tray going up & down & assure the tray / cables are not hitting anything. Could also be the keyboard has a short. replacing the whole keyboard assy may solve both issues
