[Jamming] Brother MFC-J5910 dw paper jam

I'm getting a jam message on screen "paper jam front/rear", i checked the whole printer no sign of any stuck paper, i used a blower 2-3 times to no avail cleaned both the paper sensors replaced

the registration sensor still nothing i think the only thing left to do is a firmware flash but even that is still risky because the printer might stop recognizing generic cartridges...if any of you kind

people can get me an old eeprom dump that'd be great.

    Cheers

I couldn't get to the maintenance mode due to that paper jam error, which one did you replace there are two of them in the rear?

      Thanks for the reply.

Was there a firmware update to fix the issue. I had a similar Brother paper jamb issue just recent. I can't recall the exact model number of the machine. I can check my notes.

If the machine starts working after a firmware update (USB-stick method).
Face the front of the machine and slighty lift the machine up from lower bottom left corner of the machine only.
See if the Paper Jamb issue returns on the display as you flex the machine.

I mean i've looked thoroughly and there was nothing, flipped the printer upside down nothing fell off, i've seen cases with the Epsons mainly when people encounter paper jam they just force the paper out in the wrong direction and that causes the

paper feed sensor to snap. As for the firmware update it's just a wild guess.

          Thanks for the reply.

you can't do a firmware upgrade via USB stick.. you have to use a USB cable and go thru the maintenance driver on a PC...

Possibly a fault on the carriage pcb. It has a sensor for detecting the edge of the page.

The firmware update fixed the issue.
