    MFC-8950w with " print unable 7a"

Had 2 mfc-8950dw in my shop. One worked and one had no power.
    Swapped LVPS from good machine
and got 2nd machine to work.

Ordered LVPS from Brother and installed into machine which was originally working. Now have "print unable 7A" message. Double checked connectors and okay.

Your help is appreciated very much. Frank/ Action

I think you have error code 7A00
1- connection failure main motor harness
    2-main motor failure
    3-main pcb failure

I would double check the connections and reseat every connector

Thank you for yor input VBC. I did not see 00 after the 7A unless I need the pesos something to get a sub coe. I did carefully check the 2 connectors for the LVPS.. The one on the left is hard to work with as Brother did not leave any play but it is connected good. Those were the only connectors I disconnected when removing and installing LVPS. I will check again to be sure. and make sure nothing is stressing motor. Frank

            Re: MFC-8950w with " print unable 7a"

Symptom: Machine has "Print Unable 7A" on the display.
Possible cause: Synchronized signal of the main motor cannot be detected.

Recommendation: Replace parts in the listed order.

            1. Main Motor
            2. Main PCBSteps for Main Motor Replacement
            *or check connectors*

I removed and reconnected connectors and machine is working now. Thanks to all. Frank
