    Brother MFC L8650cdw

Trying to locate the black duplex guide that sits outside the fuser assembly next to the rear door. We have the parts book but can't see it anywhere in the diagrams.
    Any help appreciated

Unless it comes with that piece, it looks as though it would sit on the outside of that guide between it and the door. But again I see no picture of it in the parts guide. We're hoping to be able to retrieve the old guide from the customer tomorrow to have something to compare it to.

there are two plastic covers... left and right..covers power and sensor harness... that guide plate clips onto those covers.. not part of the fuser...clips into place above fuser in rear frame..

            did the customer lose it?

look in service manual.. replacing the fuser... 2nd or 3rd step after "open back door"

you have parts manny... what about service?

Did not locate the full service manual, other than the individual pages you can hunt through on the service manual sites that want you to pay for a subscription. I glanced through those, but the entire manual would be helpful.

              Thanks

In the service manual it shows on page 197 under step 1 of the fuser assy. removal, a back flapper holder that needs removed. I believe that to be the guide we are trying to locate a number for.

                      Thanks

Just wondering if you had any thoughts on the aforementioned guide? Is there another series of this machine that might be similar to this who's parts manual might show that piece? Curiosity only really. The customer said for the most part it runs fine without it so long as they don't duplex then it tends to jam.

                        Thanks for all the help

I apologize I thought I had replied to this already but obviously I didn't. #7 is the guide with the 4 little rollers in it. I've attached the picture from the book of the guide we were looking for.

did a search in the PM of the back flapper mentioned in the SM... no such bird...

sat on hold with TS for 20mins until I got disconnected ( must have been their break time? )

                              will try again later.
