Brother 2820 replaced new main PCB

We have changed the main PCB with new one in the Brother 2820 fax machine but no action on display. Some thing appears on display and nothing is happened. Actually, we have replaced the main PCB of this machine into a other defective machine. Now we got new main PCB and fixed in that new machine but problem is same as mentioned above. Whether we have to initialize /programme this new PCB

Are there black bars on the display and maybe a weird sound when turning it on?

In this case there is no firmware on it but that's pretty uncommon for the newer brother models. AFAIK there are also a lot of different revisions of that board making the round and you need to take care to get the right one.
