    [Misc] Brother MFC L5700dw Will not scan Legal size

    Hey guys
    Is this just the nature of the beast? It does not have a legal size glass bed. But it will copy legal through the DF and pull from a legal tray. Yet it will not scan a legal to PDF or .doc. Is there a firmware update to this? Just trying to help out a friend.

      Clearly if the glass is only 8.5 X 11" it cannot scan legal. the only was is thru the DF.

      you can set it to scan to PDF in user tools. the user guide is available online for free... that'll show you how to set the default to PDF

      I believe default is to TIFF ... .doc should not be an option that is a Microsoft format.
