Brother MFC 8710dw fuser film slipping and causes blurry image.

Hello, these fusers have been discontinued. the films and new generics are available.
this one visually looks fine, but starting to slip.

has anyone tried or had any luck removing the film and cleaning and re lubing the thing with the Uniflor 8172 film grease and had any improvement for this issue??

    thank you.

Hi, we have had some success cleaning original fuser film/heating element(if it's in good condition) and relubing on other models. The problem we had when customers use not oem toner contaminated fuser fast and grease not lube but sticks.

Ok. Thank you. I should replace the fuse and take that one for a test.
I didn't realize it was caused by bad toner. That was likey me fault pushing compatibles over the years. I always thought that the film and or pressure roller for slick from use and didn't have enough friction to rotate the film.

      Thank you
