    brother 9420c jamming

    constant jams at c. machine throws up a jam on the last 2 inches of the paper is coming on to the internal tray. i have to pull it out. basically
    paper just stops. have already cleaned the rollers and still the same.

    jams most of the time.

    Are you getting a specific error message when the jam occurs?

      something like remove jam at c which is around the fuser unit.

        If the machine jams for no visible reason: Check out the actuator at the registraton rollers - sometimes it's moving a bit notchy. Take it out, clean the bushings and put it back in place.

          If the paper is exiting the machine by 2" it could be the exit sensor on the fuser, also possible is the transfer unit (belt stretched or, according to a service bulletin, a cam on the transfer unit can turn out of place, although I haven't come across that myself).

            MFC-9420Cn.....

            ...had a lot of issues. There is a paper tray issue for these, remove that tray and check it. This other forum had some info I posted long ago.
