    brother 1820c ink empty

    have a brother 1820c, reads y,c,m inks empty. replaced all inks with new, told machine it has new inks, still reads y,c,m empty. any ideas??

    It could be the ink sensor PCB. Sometimes ink will get on the board and cause problems. Try cleaning it off (or replacing it). I'm assuming that you followed the messages on the display when replacing the cartridges, of course. Also, I don't recommend using 3rd party ink in any Brother ink jets.

        This is a quite old machine. I am certain that if not the ink sensor PCB then the printhead is the roblem. Either of these are expensive parts. And of course OEM ink on inkjets is a must!
