Color Quality sucks big time if the supplies aren't (nearly) new but if you print/copy in B/W mode the machine shouldn't use the CMY toners.Comment

Even Brother new machines can't be compared with an old HP printer. We just installed new MFC 9450CDN but when the customer printed on his HP coloured printer the copy was almost the same as the image on the screen while the new Brother machine has very pale copy. Adjustment done also on Brother e.g resolution, fine etc. IN HP you can just plug and print( what more if you adjust the copy quality).Nobody is perfect..Comment

I am still having some issues with the gray printing as a greenish, blueish, purplish color. I have narrowed it down to only one computer that is doing this and only from one program. The program they are using is a propriety software that uses the windows print drivers. I have deleted print drivers and reinstalled with no difference. all other programs print normal so it has to be something from that particular program.Comment

Re: Brother MFC-9840CDW Color Issues
If they gray looks bad then it's probably not a proper gray color defined in the document/programm - the machine will mix it with CMYK instead of only BK and that cannot look good since these devices don't have a good quality print engine.Comment
