    HL 4070 cdw noise

Seems to have a clicking noise only when the paper cassette is installed, with or without paper. I believe it is coming from the gear assembly that lifts the paper. Anyone seen this before and if so, what is the most likely part/part number at fault?

Oh, and when I run the machine with the cassette out, I can see the drive gear and it does SEEM to have an intermittent "skip", but no noise. My guess is that there isnt enough torque to cause the noise with the cassette out of the machine.

I have an MFC-9840CDW doing the exact same thing. It all started after i had replaced the belt cleaner release assembly because the machine kept coming up with an error 2A. Were you ever able to resolve your issue?

If you take out the tray does the black sensor fall down?
