[Misc] Brother HL-5370DW and drum error

Hello,

We have several Brother printers in one of the offices. One of them is a 5370DW.
It is probably less than 6 months old and I'd guess has not much more than 1K pages
printed. It just recently came up with a Drum error. I tried to clear the error. Sometimes
the printer would turn on without an error. When printing a single page document the
printer would jam again with the drum error (drum light solid amber/yellow).
Has anyone else come across this error? Is it really the drum that needs replacing?
I understand the drum/toner only has a 90 day warranty which seems kinda skimpy
to me.

try press the "go" key 3 times to print out a config page that get you the exact counter / consumeable statistics

perhaps cleaning the drum contacts at the drum unit itself and inside the printer might help if the usual procedure (cleaning the corona wire) doesn't help
