    Hi,

I have seen over 100 Brother printers with ghosting problems.
Usually after trying a new drum and toner I notice the fuser has a gradual build up of baked on toner on it. Or the fuser is badly scored by the spring guides located on the roller.

As the fuser roller builds up with toner the surface temperature of the roller decreases which decreases the fusing ability of the toner on the page which creates this repetitive ghosting down the page.

Take a look at the following image.

I'd look a the fuser and go from there.

    All the best!

    Paul

Did you reset the drum counter when you installed the new drum ?
The machine adjusts the main charge level during the life of the drum and it resets it only when you tell it that it has a new drum.
Also are you using original brother consumables ?
If as you say it is ghosting before fusing then it can only be a drum or toner issue
