MFC-9120 Won't print colors

I have a MFC-9120 that won't print any of the colors. Only the black prints. If I make a color copy, it looks like just a regular copy minus the colors... so SOME of the black is there, but only if there was supposed to be black there anyway.\

It's time for a transfer belt for the unit, but customer doesn't want to buy a new belt for it unless that will actually take care of the color problem.

Anyone ever see this? A machine stops printing colors because it needs a new belt?

i dont think the machine would stop printing color if it needed a t belt have you stopped the machine mid cycle to see if there is anycolor image on drums or t belt
