    Ir 3570 depatment id removal

    Hi All

Purchased an IR 3570 the other day and it was meant to be all up and working. Got it to the office but unfortunately it comes up with a department id and password which no one seems to know the details.

I have entered the service mode to reset the password but do I need to turn the machine off after this to clear the department id because it still still seams to exist after I click ok in the service mode and then press reset.

Thanks for the assistance in advance

    yes/turn off then on

    1) Go into Service Mode
    2) Select [COPIER]
    3) Select [FUNCTION] (One of the buttons across the top of the LCD)
    4) Select [CLEAR]
    5) Scroll to screen two of the LCD using the Right arrow key.
    6) Select [PWD-CLR]
    7) Hit [OK]
    8) Hit the RESET button twice in order to return to the Main LCD Screen.
This will turn off the Department ID Management feature on the machine (without deleting the configured Department IDs and Passwords) and will clear out (delete) the System Manager ID and Password.

To delete one or more Dept. IDs
    1. Press Additional Functions from the Control Panel.
    2. Select System Settings.
    3. Select Dept. ID Management.
    4. Select Store Dept ID/password.
    5. Select the Dept. ID you want to delete and select Erase.
    6. Select Yes to erase the Dept. ID.
    7. Click Done 3x to return to the main screen.

NOTE: If you do not know one of the Dept. ID and password, you must know the System Manager ID or you can set one up. If you do not know the System Manager password either, you then can delete the System Mgr password in service mode

      Thanks Teckat

We have no dept ids at all. So we cleared the password in service mode, well we thought so any way but did not enter a new one (uncertain on how to do this at this point). But when we pressed ok in service mode and then the reset button the machine went straight back to dept id password page and havent worked out yet how to get into the system Manager as wihout an id and password I cant by pass it yet.

Any help greatly appreciated but will keep reading.

      cheers

          Thanks Heaps Teckat

I will try again when I go into the office tomorrow. It was only when I went home that I thought I may have to turn the machine off and back on again for it to take effect.

          Thanks
