[Error Code] Canon Imagepress C1 - Close the front cover of the finisher (E00713-000)

    Hello,

Since this morning our Imagepress C1 displays the warning: 'Close the front cover of the finisher'.
It comes with the error code: E00713-000

Is anyone familiar with this problem?

We believe that it has something to do with the sensors, we've tried everything, from closing the
door a thousand times to shutting the power off completely, but we can't seem to solve the problem.

    Thanks in advance,

E713 is a Finisher / Printer communication error
Maybe you have a blown fuse pcb or a bad finisher controller pcb.
Remove the finisher from the machine to verify that the machine is okay.
If so, then focus on the finisher.

The Finisher, the Reader and the Pedestal / Cassette Feed Unit all communicate through the Cassette feeding Unit / Pedestal Controller to the print engine. If the print engine looses any communication to any of these accessories one or more error codes will occur intermittently.

Finisher Controller PCB / check & re-seat connectors on it

Re seating the connections on the De Curling Controller PCB

check the MOLEX connector on pedestal
