    [Misc] IR 2022 printing problems

    when print jobs are sent the machine it asks to change the paper type, however the machine and the print drivers are set to plain paper. if you pull out the tray and slide it back in its starts printing.

    any ideas on how to remedy it?

    I see this a lot on the larger copiers, the print driver is the one that is not happy. The copier is fine. Try to choose the paper source, such as cassette 1, instead of auto, and I believe it will work o.k. You don't happen to have the paper "type" settings for the cassettes set to anything other that plain paper under Additional Functions on the copier do you?

      'Paper is not correct. Change paper.'
      error message can be caused by a broken or misaligned Position Block (shown below, Figure 310/312 in the Parts Catalog). If the cassette does not seem to be locking into place, this part may be the cause. In some cases, applying pressure to the front of the cassette will temporarily alleviate the problem.

      also check Size Detection Assy. { FM2-3319-000 }
      also Check -User Mode Item/ listed under Common Settings > Register Paper Type.

        Look at your printer driver settings.
        Is your driver register to the 2022?

          I think we have a winrar , I'm going to check it out tomorrow and let you know what i find out. I should have mentioned in my original post that it wasn't the print driver..... machine has held up pretty well until recently, customer bought it new almost two years ago and so far it has 520k on it.

            I agree with MrFixit and Screwtape, check your print driver. Lock it into drawer 1 if you can.
            If opening and closing the drawer will force it to print, try turning on the auto-continue feature. I don't know off the top of my head where it is but it will be in user mode under printer settings.

            What application are you printing from?
            Winrar is a file extractor utility, similar to winZip only .rar are compatible with any OS.

                          Dear mr. teckat

                          Winrar - Someone who wins. The polar opposite of fail.
