Yeah, I saw that too. I managed to get into service mode, however it only sits there saying "Service Mode, Idle". Is there any special jiggering that needs to be done to access other functions in service mode, i.e. PM counter reset? Does service mode mean using a PC tool to connect to the printer?

I know nothing of the inkjet printers, I spend all my time working on the larger toys. I assume that there is a way to zero out the absorber pad counter, I just have no idea how to...

You've probably solved the problem by now
but i removed my ink cartridges and the bottom cassette of paper,
when i turned on the printer it registered there was no ink so after replacing the ink i could then finally access the home screen and clean the paper tray roller.
It seems to have worked, so hope this is some help
