    imagerunner advance with rip

    just supplied client with an imagerunner advance 5035 with a b1 rip when client prints some doc's the black is 4 process colour they dont want this - but i cant find the pure black/rich text option on this ? where is it?

    It is in the driver on the pc, have to choose black and white instead of the default, which is color.

      er - yes I know of that option however they are printing a publication with colour graphics THEY do not want rich text also they have 2 x 3220 with rips THESE have rich text/pure black option in the driver.....

        After re-reading your post, I think I better understand your question now. As I am strictly a hardware guy here, and this appears to be more of an application issue, I will have to defer to someone else with a broader experience range to assist you on this problem. Screwtape, D_L_P, Teckat, KenB....?

          Go to the print driver and choose properties. Click on the advanced tab and go to printing defaults. Go to the "color" tab and then choose expert settings. At the bottom there is an option to choose the black on how it is printed. You will want to set that option to "pure black" hit the update and then ok so it saves that configuration
