Scanning, jamming & Job Build IR-C3080

I'm new to Canons, I am formally trained on Kyocera, but I have a customer who works at law firm and she uses an IR-C3080 to scan 500 page documents. But she has to use job build because the document feeder can only hold like 50 or so. The problem is she'll run sets and once a set jams, the screen will start over, all the setting will be back at default and more importantly everything she has scanned so far will be gone. Is this normal. With the Kyoceras, if they jam during a scan job the pages prior to the jam will still be saved into memory and it'll let you resume. Is there any way to get this machine to do this or a way around it?

feeder page count should not change on a jam/ when u reset docs back in order
what do the Originals look like/ when they say a feeder can hold 50 prints, they mean with flat pristine edges/ why don't u have a tech check out the feeder, may need cleaning or parts/

By the way,if they are running 500 page docs. thru this feeder on a constant run/ they have the wrong size machine in there. Do u know the monthly volume

I can't say as I've come across this issue but you might give this a try.
Additional Functions-> Timer settings-> Auto Clear time.
I'd set it to 9 minutes, or 0 (OFF). I'm not sure but with job build it might be possible the reset timer is causing your problem. Since it is going back to the "default" screen.

if a customer walks away from a copier while doing a 500 page doc./ 50 at a time/ and has a jam in DF while not present to clear it / Auto Clear has no effect on machine job while Jam message is still present/ and u reset the Docs. , it and should not effect DF memory Doc. page re-set.

This is a poor feature on the Canons. If you are running a set of 40 pages and it jams on page 39 for example you have to reset the entire batch into the document feeder to rectify this. We have raised this with Canon UK as a feature request as this is the only manufacturer to do this. It is insane! Almost going back to the analogue days where you have to reset the entire batch!
