    [Error Code] HP4700 ERROR 49.5001.

    Dear all.

    I am facing a problem in hp 4700.


    ACTION TAKEN.

    [1] REMOVED ALL THE QUEUE IN THE NETWORK /FOLLOW ME PRINT.

    [2] DONE COLD RESET.


    AFTER CALIBRATION MACHINE WILL BE IN READY CONDITION. THIS TIME I CAN PRINT THE DEMO PAGE AND OTHER SYSTEM FILES.
    BUT AS SOON AS I WILL CONNECT THE NETWORK CABLE PRINTER START PROCESSING AND ONE PRINT WILL COME AND GIVING ERROR 49.5001.

    IF IT IS A FIRMWARE ISSUE PLEASE SEND ME FIRMWARE AND TIPS HOW I CAN UPLOAD THE SAME.

      You can get firmware from the HP website... along with instructions. I wouldn't get firmware from anywhere else.

      It really sounds as if there's still something trying to print. One of the other techs mentioned once changing the IP address before hooking it back up. That seems to be your best course of action here. Once you do that, hook the network back up and send a print job. If it prints, that means they've still got someone on the network trying to print a corrupt job.

      If it comes back after changing the IP address, try the firmware upgrade. If it still comes back, replace the formatter.

          it's a print job you'll have to hunt down on a computer...I see these often...usual suspects are printing recipes from a website and printing from real estate websites....

              connect a laptop to the printer and try to print , if you get same error then jetdirect card or formatter(if embedded jetdirect) needs to be replaced. If it prints, then problem on network,

                  Are there any firmware upgrades to a hp 4700?
                  Cant find it on the hp web site.
